We drove to the Southern Highlands today, intending to stay for the long weekend. The weather was nice and cool, perfect for a getaway.
Unfortunately, we hadn't booked and most places were full for the Anzac Day long weekend.
Which was fine, of course, we took the time to sample some local fare including:
- Tick Tock Bakery and Coffee Shop, Mittagong: steak sandwich, vanilla slice and apple strudle
- Pancake on the Plaza, Bowral: banana pancakes, which looked like a snow storm had hit it.... sometimes it really is less is more
