Singapore Shiok! Chinatown

The Eating World food court in Chinatown must be laughing, it's home to two of the most popular eateries in town, Gumshara Ramen and the increasingly popular, and delicious Singapore Shiok!

Just about all your favourites are here, Hai Nam chicken, Hai Nam roast chicken, laksa, char kway teo, nasi lemak, nasi goreng, mee goreng, my mouth is watering as I type this post.

Tonight, I go for the Hai Nam chicken but promise myself I will try something different next time, note to self: char kway teo or nasi goreng.

Back to the chicken, white, stark and lays on top of a bed of bean sprouts and light soy sauce. The simplicity works so well with the accompanying flavoursome rice and thick soy sauce.  And the clear soup on the side isn't some half-hearted slop, it's complex and flavoursome.

  9. Hi Anonymous, the size isn't overly generous but definately not small. Use the video for reference, you can see it in context.

  12. Does the chicken come with bones? Chicken fillets seem "too prepared" as I still prefer gnawing my way through bone and all. :)

  13. I'm afraid these don't come with bones.. which as lazy as I am, I admit I prefer them de-boned
