La Paula, Chilean, Fairfield

Fairfield is topping my list for diverse and interesting food; Iraqi, Assyrian, Lebanese, Indian/Chinese, Thai/Lao and today, we're back at one of our favourite eateries, La Paula Chilean.

La Paula is a bakery-cum-cafe that seem to excel in both savoury and sweets.  The video above gives you a pretty complete look at the sweets options, including brand new caramel churros, caramel sponge cake and many, many more mouth watering cakes.

La Paula, Chilean, Fairfield

Haven't been to our favourite Chilean eatery/bakery in Fairfield for a while and thought this fine Saturday morning would be the day to change that.

Milanesa al pan
La Paula might be modest to look at but it has been around for ages and has a steady stream of customers.  Walter ordered something different today, milanesa al pan, which is crumbed beef steak burger with lashings of mayo and served with thin chips.

Chacarrero
Boring me had the usual, chacarrero, thin beef strips in a burger with beans and avocado.  Yum!

Empanada
We ordered an empanada to share... love the egg filling.
