25th Floor Restaurant, Modern Australian, Darlinghurst

By Noodlies, Sydney food blog guest reviewer, KLui.

Where can I find a quiet restaurant that overlooks the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Centre Point Tower at the same time? 25th Floor at Woolloomooloo, of course.

grilled sourdough

Grilled sourdough bread with slow roasted tomatoes, caramelized onion and olive: the chargrilled bread is so crispy and the taste is so much better than toast of course.

Sydney Rock Oysters with champagne and shallot vinegrette: five fresh oysters with a unique dressing for entrée.

Herb crumbed kytren goat cheese with chargrilled eggplant & tomato passatta: This is my favourite entrée at 25th Floor. It’s like having a modified version of Chicken Parmigiana without the chicken. It’s so special.

grain fed beef

Grain fed beef sirloin with French fries and red wine jus.

Roasted Lamb Rump with Swiss brown mushroom, creamed celeric puree and mint.

Grilled King Fish.

Mango crunch cake: his homemade dessert was brought to the restaurant for a special occasion. It’s delicious. 4 different texture in one piece –The freshness of the mango puree, the creaminess from the icing, the soft layers of sponge cake and the crunch from the corn flakes. I love it!
