Rahmen Genki, Japanese, Artarmon

Artarmon is one of my favourite suburbs on the north shore. It's villagy, great public transport and is home to some great eateries too.

Rahmen Genki is a Japanese noodle bar that serves your usual ramen nori, teriyaki and gyoza, fast and delicious.

My gyoza comes out hot and cooked right through, which I love.  It's dark almost burnt on one side, just the way I like it.  The filling is steaming hot but unfortunately there's no juicy squirt often found in Chinese versions.

My rahmen with old style shoyu noodles looks like ramen with pork, egg and various vegetables.  The broth is tasty but not over powering.  What was over powering, but I absolutely love is the burnt onion that is shown at bottom of the picture above.  Delicious.

Note, this restaurant accepts cash only and you need to order before you sit down.
