Rahmen Genki, Japanese, Artarmon

Artarmon is one of my favourite suburbs on the north shore. It's villagy, great public transport and is home to some great eateries too.

Rahmen Genki is a Japanese noodle bar that serves your usual ramen nori, teriyaki and gyoza, fast and delicious.

Not Bread Alone Cafe, Artarmon

By Noodlies Sydney food blog guest reviewer, KLui.

This cafe is in one of those homemaker centres and is right behind where I work.  There's a bit of everything on their menu. I was glad that I went with a couple of friends because we got to taste something different on the menu.

Rump steak in mushroom sauce with mash
A good size steak for lunch! Though I may have enjoyed it much more with a good glass of Cabernet Merlot. Too bad it's lunch time!

FOOD@SBS: Pre-Opening

A new cafe in Artarmon... that's something worth celebrating.  In advance of the official opening next week, SBS staff were treated to a pre-opening party surprise and delight.

Salmon and kingfish sashimi

Jason, his crew and chef, Ashraf Saleh treated guests to some great samplers including tomato tart, tandoori chicken, crispy pork bely with cinnamon glaze, salmon & kingfish sashimi:

Tomato tart
And they all tasted as good as they look.

Tandoori chicken
Ashraf established a solid reputation as one of the North Shore's finest chefs when appointed Head Chef at the Point Blue Restaurant, McMahon's Point.  Ashraf also assumed the Head Chef position at Criterion, CMC and Cadmus.
