Lotus, Modern Asian, Potts Point

Review by noodlies Sydney food blog guest reviewer, KLui

Lotus Bar is part of the Merivale Group, which means a guaranteed cocktail lists. Of course we couldn't pass on cocktails, these tasted and looked divine.

Clams in butter and Sake: the clam meat are huge, the sauce is light which enhance their freshness.

Pork Croquette: this dish was a pleasant surprise.  The pork was  minced and crumbed. The sourness of the bean salsa helped to balance out the croquette oiliness.

Lamb and Miso Eggplant: tender lamb and mashed eggplant mixed with miso. What more can you ask for?  As always with Dan Hong, unusual, exciting combination of flavours that works.

Lotus Signature Cheeseburger: the most expensive but most delicious cheeseburger I've ever had. The buns were warm and soft, the marinated gherkin is not too sour, cheddar cheese is runny and strong, and the flavour of the beef patty is so rich! YUM!!!
