Next time you're at the local Vietnamese hot bread shot and you're thinking of a viet pork roll, why not try viet meat pie (well kind of like a meat pie).
In Vietnamese we call it Pate So (or pate chaud), it's just layers of puff pastry, watch out, heaps of fat and butter, wrapped around spicy pork mince. Utterly delicious hot. Not bad for $1.50.
We had a big late breakfast this morning, so a pate so each was perfect!

ReplyDeleteactually this was bought at a local Cabramatta bakery, not sure what biscuit cutters they used, but I remembered my mum's used to look the same (but mum always put much more filling!).
