Vietnamese Desserts: Banh Cam - orange cake

Banh Cam - Orange Cake
If I had to pick a favourite, this would have to be close to being it!  There are several versions of banh cam as well, this one is round and flat and covered in a sugar glaze.  The other version is round, like well, like an organge, but it doesn't have the glaze.  The filling is another ubiquitous ingredient; soya been paste - the other common one seems to be coconut milk.

Other Vietnamese desserts:

Banh Chuoi - banana cake

Coloured rice cakes

Xoi - sticky rice dessert

  3. These remind me of Vietnam and being around my grandma's house where kids would come around to the front of the house and sell these to us. I love how the sticky toffee gets stuck to your teeth when you eat it :)
